Good Weekend

It was a busy but good weekend.
The youth rallied on Friday as they get ready for OctoberFest 2008 happening on October 31.
Had a great time with the leaders on Saturday at our all-day retreat.

Today I told Julie that Elliott’s death hit me the hardest emotionally of all those I knew who passed on.
As we talked, I realized my emotions weren’t so much sadness – although I definitely felt sad – as they were feelings of intense joy and relief.

Sad day…

Just got word today that my friend, Elliott Tomai, died last night.
Elliot was a profile in courage: born with Spina Bifida, Elliott wasn’t supposed to live very long.
He died last night in his sleep.  I think he was 28.
